Player of the Month: Mia Marsicano – GU16 DPLO - KH

SoCal Reds FC is proud to recognize Mia Marsicano of our GU16 DPLO - KH squad as this month's Player of the Month.

Mia has earned this recognition not only for her performances on the field but also for her willingness to embrace new challenges and step outside of her comfort zone. Choosing growth over familiarity, she made the decision to join an older age group, demonstrating the courage and mindset needed to continue developing as both a player and a leader.

Reflecting on Mia's progress, her coach shared:

"Mia was hesitant to join the team because she knew and worked well with players in her age group. She made a choice to be 'comfortable being uncomfortable' by joining this team to get out of her shell and be adaptable to working with a new group of players in a higher age group. She has grown confidence and leadership in the past two weeks and now is leading the team, setting the standard at training. She is really diving into her self-improvement and toolkit."

Mia's commitment to personal growth has quickly made an impact on her new team. Her increasing confidence, adaptability, and leadership have helped raise the standard during training while inspiring those around her to continue improving every day.
