Welcome Our New Boys Academy Director of Goalkeeping - Alex Renderos!

We’re thrilled to announce Alex Renderos as the new Boys Academy Director of Goalkeeping at SoCal Reds FC — a major step forward in strengthening our player development pathway.

Alex will oversee the growth and development of all goalkeepers across our MLS HD, MLS AD, EA, and EA2 pathways, ensuring every stage of the academy has clear structure, high standards, and expert guidance.

What Alex Will Bring to the Academy:

• Support MLS HD goalkeepers at home and away matches

• Conduct four in-person evaluations annually for every Boys Academy goalkeeper

• Lead with a focus on goalkeeper education and long-term development

This appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to specialized training, providing goalkeepers with the tools, coaching, and environment they need to succeed at the highest level.
