Team of the Month: BU16 MLS NEXT AD – Surf Cup Champions

SoCal Reds FC is proud to recognize our BU16 MLS NEXT AD squad as this month's Team of the Month following their outstanding Surf Cup Championship victory.

Throughout the tournament, the team embodied the values that define SoCal Reds FC, competing with resilience, ambition, and unwavering belief in one another. Their championship run was built on teamwork, determination, and the ability to overcome adversity when it mattered most.

Head Coach Bilal Dahduli reflected on the team's incredible performance:

"The team competed at Surf Cup playing connected, ambitious, and believed in one another. In two games we received a red card and played with 10 men. The boys worked hard and poured their hearts into sticking together, even scoring in both games to finish with wins. We celebrated the goals together and supported each other when we made a mistake."

One of the most impressive aspects of the team's championship run was their response to adversity. Playing with 10 men in two separate matches after receiving red cards would have challenged any team, but this group refused to let those moments define them. Instead, they rallied together, continued to play with confidence, found the back of the net in both matches, and earned victories through grit, discipline, and an unbreakable team spirit.

Their ability to remain connected, encourage one another through difficult moments, and celebrate every success together reflects the culture that SoCal Reds FC strives to build. The Surf Cup title is a well-earned reward for a team that consistently demonstrated resilience, selflessness, and a commitment to playing for one another.
